Paul and Elma have raised their special needs son Mitch themselves, and wanted to utilise the success of their company to create positive opportunities for disadvantaged youth, and lay down a solid support for young people with special needs throughout Australia.

Paul Thompson realising the dreams of his 20 year old son Mitch strapped himself into their V8 Commodore for their first race in Targa West 2008. Having never driven in an event like this before and deciding to enter one of Australia's toughest tarmac rally events, both Paul and Mitch crashed on the Coondle West; four stages from the end! But this was only the beginning for this now experienced father son duo as Paul and Mitch are now preparing to enter their fourth year in a row in Targa West, with this year a new car... a 1974 911 Porsche, which is already the talk of the town!

In late 2009 Paul & Mitch decided it was time to start their own Motorsport team, and Team Green Motorsport was born. After a short period Keenan Haigh was offered a drive in the Commodore at a practice day in Collie and it soon became clear that he really had a passion for motorsport. Mitch and Paul decided to give this "young fella" the opportunity of a lifetime to be a part of Team Green Motorsport. Within a short period of time Keenan had purchased the Commodore and was ready to race, except for one thing, he needed someone who was crazy enough to be his co driver - Ryan Burnell was the only man game enough to volunteer.
